Currently at Willowood Farm

Willowood Farm of Ebey’s Prairie is located in the Town of Coupeville on beautiful Whidbey Island, just north of Seattle Washington. We are an established diversified farm growing over 200 different varieties of vegetables, herbs, and dry beans. We are a 20-acre farm with approximately 12-acres in production annually.

We have a commitment to sustainable practices such as crop rotation, minimal tillage and the use of cover crops and compost in order to promote and maintain the health of the earth and soil.

We are also committed to growing tasty and healthy crops. We believe that fresh local produce tastes better and that crops grown without the use of synthetic fertilizer and pesticide are better for you and for everything that lives on our farm. We do everything we can—from choosing varieties to choosing when to harvest a crop—to ensure that our customers receive the best possible produce.

The most talented chefs in Seattle choose our produce for their culinary creations. Our primary outlets for our produce are sold directly into the hands of Seattle’s best Chefs & Restaurants and a few local retail locations. In the late fall into winter, we offer a winter CSA and participate in a four-weekend holiday indoor market.

We’re Hiring for the 2018 Season!

We are currently seeking talented individuals to join or farming team! Crew members can expect to be involved in all aspects of production and harvest and will gain an in-depth perspective on small-scale sustainable agriculture. From the greenhouse to the field, to the packing shed—all employees can expect to be immersed in the day-to-day aspects of vegetable production. Expect work to be varied, energetic, and dirty. Must be comfortable working alone or in a group, and prepared to work in all weather conditions.

Full time, early mornings, long days, we start at sun-up and finish when the day’s tasks are complete. At peak season this means over 40hrs/week. Flexibility and the willingness to work late necessary. Experience working on a farm a plus. Strong work ethic and a positive attitude are essential.

Growing Forward Update

We are currently in the planning process for construction on a new barn. We have hopes to start construction this summer, but it is a long planning process and clean-up. We hope to have more information and updates for all of our supports soon.
